Closing down for Christmas…

antonys OBEI love being in London so I was delighted to be asked to attend and Minute a Board meeting last month on the 15th floor of The Shard.  What a fabulous view from the huge window of the meeting room!  This experience was followed by a special lunch of (nearly) the whole team who work with a client of mine who had, the day before, very deservedly been to Buckingham Palace to receive the OBE from HRH The Duke of Cambridge.  The organisation is completely virtual – the team is spread from Edinburgh to Exeter and everyone works remotely – so it was such a delight to meet all these great people, most of them for the first time, having communicated successfully by phone and email for so long.  It was good to see my client again too, for the first time in two years!

It’s been an autumn of Board meetings, and a big charity event at the lovely Lambeth Palace.  I have finished 2014 having compiled 32 sets of Minutes  – yes, that was after reducing my meeting workload (see my last blog).  Today though I am closing down for my Christmas and New Year holiday and I couldn’t do so without finally taking a few moments to wish everyone a Christmas of peace and joy, and a New Year of expectation.
