Time for an Easter break

I think I need to do a catch-up blog!

January and February went by in a whirl, with meetings, Minutes, lots of phone and Skype calls and an incredible number of emails to be read, assessed, flagged up for each client and moved into files for action, reminders and follow-up.  I also spent a while fixing up meetings and trying to get 11 busy people (one living abroad) into the same four 2-hour slots between April and September – finally achieved after countless emails and texts!

March was very much a Cinnamon Network month, with two big meetings in Westminster and a very enjoyable team meeting in Covent Garden.  Above you see me with Ella and Jan – the leadership support section – and below in action in my front-of-house role  registering and welcoming guests to the Cinnamon Theology Symposium at the Emmanuel Centre.  (More on the Cinnamon Network via the link on my sidebar.)

Cin meetingNow I’m closing down for a good break over Easter.  Term has ended at the C of E girls’ school, where I am Clerk to the (Multi-) Academy Trust, after 12 weeks of intense activity; the new Headteacher arrived and pretty soon was welcoming the Prime Minister, the Education Secretary and the local MP to the school where David Cameron delivered his speech on Free Schools; and yes, the school also received authorisation from the Dept for Education to open a free school in September 2017 for boys so there’ll be lots more activity to come!

It’s time to stop to breathe, to reflect, to tidy up and plan, and to enjoy this coming Easter break.
